VISIT KC

Visit KC (formerly The Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association) decided to get closer to the street and connect with the community it supports. Research into the brand, work style and environment became the basis for design and evaluating and selecting a dramatic space in the Power & Light district downtown.
The design of their new offices embraces the idea that they are a part of the community with very large, flexible room adjacent to the entry. This is not only a primary meeting room but also thought of as the conference room for the city. They can host events, public meetings and social gatherings to highlight the city as an interior town hall, so to speak. Custom workstations mixed with standard workstations are designed to promote collaboration while maintaining a sense of focus for their work. Visit KC’s new visitor experience was designed in collaboration with Willoughby Design and Dimensional Innovations, who helped bring this project to life.
