SKATE BENCH No.1 is a skateboard-inspired bench influenced by the mixture of skateboard culture and midcentury modern furniture. Made in Kansas City, it incorporates a continuously bent stainless steel or powder coated frame with integrated hardware and a skateboard deck with custom graphics. It was a successfully funded Kickstarter project that was noticed by professional skateboarders Mike Vallely and Tony Hawk, who used it to raise funds and awareness for skateboarding through the Tony Hawk Foundation. It has also been featured on fab.com and it was published in the book 1000 Product Designs by Eric Chan.
