It also provides electrical and acoustical isolation, minimizing intermodulation distortion caused by vibration and resonance. Manufactured from aerospace-grade extruded aluminum alloy, it is narrow in the front, broad on the side and traces and tapers around the bottom and to the back, capturing the woofer and housing the amplifier.
