Tayvia Navy is an architect at KEM STUDIO. A recent graduate from Kansas State University in 2020, she loves art, culture, and design. Her favorite part of architecture is problem-solving and developing unique ways to solve problems we encounter in everyday life through design. Storytelling through diagrams and learning other peoples’ cultures through their design and art are aspects of the process that she believes to be invaluable.
Her work with the Kansas City Design Center on the East Bottoms KC Vision Study was recently awarded the Kremer Prize which recognizes outstanding collaborative design achievements by students in the final semester of the professional Master of Architecture program.
When not in the studio you can find Tayvia outside with her big golden doodle, watching/playing basketball, drawing, and painting.
