Matt Murphy AIA, NCARB, WRID, LEED AP BD+C is the Director of Architecture at KEM STUDIO. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous projects nationwide and overseas, in segments ranging from mixed-use, office, retail, sports, hospitality, residential and food service.
A native of Wisconsin, his guiding principle is to work hard – very hard – to help create places where people want to be, places that belong. He thoroughly enjoys the technical processes of design & delivery; contributing towards meaningful spaces that exist beyond the paper they are conceived on.
Here is a quick-fire list of some of the things Matt loves: k, family, friends, cats, KC, the annual ice fishing trip, punk rock & folk music, Milwaukee, steel tip darts, gardening, hockey, tattoos, Minnesota Twins & Vikings, Dallas Stars, Columbus Park, crossword puzzles, trains, Key West, skateboards and tornadoes.
